Veteran Photo Contest
Contest Guidelines
The Veterans Photo Contest celebrates the spirit of our local veterans through photography. This contest gives you the opportunity to nominate a veteran by submitting a photo of them—whether serious or funny. All proceeds from this contest will go to support the St. Marys Community Armory and its mission to support local veterans and youth.

Eligibility
The contest is open to all individuals
- Photos should feature a veteran being nominated—whether the photo captures them in a lighthearted, funny moment or in a more serious, reflective pose.
Submission Guidelines
Entry Fee: $10 per photo submission.
Submission Deadline: All photos must be submitted by April 30th
Photo Specifications:
- The photo must feature a veteran being nominated for the contest.
- Photos can be funny, serious, or anywhere in between—creativity is encouraged, as long as it remains respectful.
- If there are multiple people in the photo, either all veterans shown must be named, or the nominated veteran must be pointed out. For example, "John Smith is the second from the left in the photo."
Voting Process
- Voting Period: Voting will be open from May 1st to May 30th.
- Vote with Your Dollars: Every dollar donated equals *1 vote* for the photo of your choice.
- How to Vote: Votes can be placed on Thestmaryscommunityarmory.com
- Progress Updates: Progress and money raised for each veteran will be updated every 1-3 days on the voting platform, so you can see how your votes are making an impact.
- Total Votes: The photo with the highest total votes (money raised) will win.
Prizes
- 1st Place: $100 and the nominated veteran’s photo displayed in the armory.
- 2nd Place: $70
- 3rd Place: $30

Important Notes:
- All proceeds from photo submissions and votes will go to support the St. Marys Community Armory and its mission to support local veterans and youth.
- Winners will be notified by June 5th and announced publicly.
